Eligibility Requirements for APIA scholarship

  • The candidate must be a citizen of the United States of America or a legal permanent immigrant in the States with a prove of his ancestors are from Asia or Pacific Island countries.
  • The candidate must be from a minor ethnic group with a relation of his parents or ancestors from pacific island countries or Asian countries.
  • The citizens of the Republic of Palau, Federated State of Micronesia, and the Republic of Marshall Islands are also eligible to apply for Apia.
  • The candidate must have enrolled/enrolling in an American university and college for the fall semester of 2023.
  • The candidate has to score at least 2.7 CGPA out of 4.0 or equivalent in his/her previous academic degree to be eligible for Apia scholarships.
  • Last but most important the candidate must have applied for the federal aid program by the federal government for the academic year of 2023-24 with free application to the federal student aid (FASFA) before the April of 2023.

APIA Scholarship Program Amount/Value

There are some internationally recognized global companies partnered with the federal government in sponsoring APIA scholarship such as the Coca-cola Foundation, The Walt Disney Company, 3M, Toyota, and Mcdonald’s. The presence of such big companies’ funding makes APIA large scholarships. Over $ 1.6 million dollars worth of scholarship waivers had been distributed the previous year.

The minimum amount of $2,500 for a single year to the amount of up to $20,000 are values of scholarship awards for the numerous-year scholarship. The selection of candidates for the scholarships depends on the factors discussed in the first and second paragraphs.
